For only the third time in the history of Denmark’s Roskilde festival, emergency measures were taken to close the dance arena where Fedde Le Grand was performing. This event was one that Le Grand along with songstresses Ida Corr and Camilla Jones had been looking forward to for months. Unfortunately and as a result of a tremendous decent of thousands of fans upon the arena, event organisers were forced to shut the space down in order to gain order. Fedde had only played 1 record of what was to be a spectacular 2 hour show when the lights went up, and the sound shut off. Amazingly, nobody was hurt as security carefully emptied the dance space. This is in contrast a to previous event where people tragically died. Fedde said: "It was a terrifying to watch what was happening and I am so thankful no one was hurt in what went on. Organisers were quick to spot the trouble ahead and acted swiftly. We’re all really sorry we couldn’t bring you the full show, but safety comes before anything else." After 45mins and with stricter controls in place the arena re-opened, and Fedde and crew were able to deliver what went down as an electric 30mins. Fedde Le Grand and all at Flamingo Records would like to thank the organisers and revellers at Roskilde for their co-operation and understanding. © Copyright by ClubTheWorld.com |
