Paul Van Dyk Comes to Leeds for a Very Special Gig
PAUL VAN DYK TO PLAY VICTORIA WORKS, LEEDS!!! He is possibly the biggest Dj and dance music producer of all time and he is coming to Leeds to play an exclusive warehouse set on SATURDAY 31st MAY at VICTORIA WORKS WAREHOUSE!
Grammy nominated artist and globally acclaimed DJ and Producer Paul van Dyk continues to dominate the electronic music charts and appears at the pinnacle of every Top DJ list across the globe. His new original album In Between has been a huge global success and features collaborations with David Byrne and Jessica Sutta of the Pussycat Dolls, spawning numerous hits and uniting dancefloors the world over.
PvD is renowned as one of the worlds hardest working artists, with sold-out tours that cross each continent, headline spots at every major festival, and a hugely successful recording career. With over 3 million albums sold worldwide, van Dyk travels around the world over 16 times each year to sold out performances internationally. 2007 alone has brought us PvD remixes of Depeche Mode’s “Martyr” and Justin Timberlake’s “What Goes Around” and he continues to be one of the most indemand remixers on the planet.

Previously, PvD won four IDMAs in 2006: Best Global DJ, Best NINRG/Euro Track, Best Producer and Best Mix Compilation for The Politics fo Dancing 2. In addition, PvD was voted “America’s Favorite DJ” for 2004 and 2005 by BPM Magazine and was the big winner at the 2004 Dancestar Awards, taking home 3 awards: Best International DJ, Best Event and Best Music in a Commercial (Motorola). He also won the Mexican Oscar for his soundtrack in the film Zurdo in March 2004. Paul van Dyk was voted "Best Music Maker" by DJ Magazine, received the “Best International DJ Award” at the 1999 Music Awards in London, was named "Best International DJ" by Ministry of Sound Magazine, and Mixmag elected him as “Man of the Year”. He also won DJ Magazine world number 1 DJ for consecutive years and heres world domination shows no sign of slowing at all.
Paul van Dyk’s touring diary remains incredibly hectic with regular globetrotting stops at major venues across the globe from New York, London, Ibiza to India, China and Singapore. He plays in Ibiza at AMNESIA exclusivley for CREAM IBIZA where he is adored by thousands, regardless of musical taste. In the little time remaining between all the travel, Paul van Dyk resides in Berlin where he has his own radio show “Paul van Dyk’s VONYC Sessions” which airs weekly on Area 33 on Sirius Radio on Thursday nights at 6PM ET (and rebroadcasts Saturdays at 8PM ET and Tuesdays at Midnight ET) and Soundgarden which airs every Wednesday 2pm – 4pm (EST) on Fritz radio and over the internet (www.fritz.de).

Joining Paul in the main arena will be Giuseppe Ottaviani, who has worked with Paul for many years on his VANDIT label, and is loved throughout the trance scene.
The main room line up is completed by Steve Porter who returns to leeds after smashing Club Mission last year and playing some very special support sets to Paul the world over, including at Cream Ibiza at Amnesia.
Arena 2 will be hosted by one of the UK's most exciting new club nights, ELECTRIK PLAYGROUND (1st friday of the month at Club Mission). GALAXY FM's very own, Riley and Durrant will be joined by one of Paul's favourite DJ's Adam Sheridan, and hot up and coming producers Hauswerks.
The venue is enough of a reason to get excited in itself. This huge, refurbished warehouse has become one of the most exciting and intriguing venues to launch in the UK in 2008 and has already seen events from the likes of the Swedish House Mafia, Toolroom Knights, Federation, Dirty Disco, Monza, Azuli, 2 Many Dj's, and Goodgreef!
