For the last seven years it’s been the undisputed jewel in London’s clubbing crown. Now Type announces the next chapter in its history with a massive new residency at the capital’s hottest underground club, The Island.

Saturday December 1^st sees Seb Fontaine, Cicada, Luke Dzierzek, Damian Wilson, Jay P, Zak Radak and Stimpy take on the full force of The Island’s phenomenal FunkTion 1 sound system, and clubbers are already beating down the doors in anticipation.

It’s no surprise. Type is, without a doubt, a night that defined a huge section of dance music fans. Names that lit up the dance floor over the years read like a who’s who of clubland: Annie Mac, Green Velvet, Jon Carter, Norman Cook, Erick Morillo, X-Press 2, Timo Maas – the list goes on and on.

Now in their new home of The Island it’s only going to get bigger and better. 2008 will see the Type family roll out a mouth watering selection of Grade A parties with huge headliners every other month. London is in for one hell of a musical treat.
