South West Welcomes New Record Label; Fiftypointfour Recordings

Plymouth- 22.03.07: Today is the official launch of Fiftypointfour Recordings; a brand new digital format house music record label aiming to challenge current philosophies, by creating a fresh approach to the industry.
Based in Plymouth, the label, which will specialise in good quality progressive, electro and deep house has been founded by an experienced and well-known dj producer Sean Holland.
Sean who has worked with the likes of well know dance pioneers Lucid, explains; “I set up Fiftypointfour with one simple aim – to produce good quality house music which is well made and at the cutting edge of musical boundaries. If you love the sounds of Deep Dish, David Howells or Sander Kleinenberg then you’ll love what we have to offer.”
“Our debut track ‘Pharmaceutical’ by Headz,(click www.myspace.com/fiftypointfour to listen) is a full throttle house track with a monster bassline, synth lines and an addictive vocal hook. The track has already caught attention of the industry with interest for it to be included in a couple of the summer compilations. The package also includes tough drum led version by Adjust Recording’s Red & Blue and a deeper mix by Riff Raff.”
A further 10 tracks are also waiting in the wings with a release schedule of one per month planned. All releases will be available digitally via 3 Beat Digital, Release Records, Trackitdown, Juno, Audiojelly, Tune Tribe and Xpress Beats. Other territories will be covered by Resonant Vibes, Beatport, (USA) and Higher Frequency, (Japan).
In addition to the label Sean is also setting up Fiftypointfour Artistes, initially handling DJ bookings for Manchester duo Thought Disorder and Headz.
For vinyl junkies there are also plans afoot to release some exclusive mixes which will only be released on 12 inch vinyl.
