i find that he seems to do nothing but slag off his listeners for being thick, yet most of his "humour" seems to be lowest common denominator.
one of his favourite techniques for being "funny" is to shout louder and in a higher pitch to make his point. this is obviously some new definition of the word funny of which i have been previously unaware.
the sooner i leave this company the better!
i was just wondering if i am alone in my views, if i'm not then why do the bbc persevere with him?

I don't really like him, but find myself listening on the way home. I like the tedious links thing though...takes me back

Depends what mood I'm in. Haven't listened to him for about 4 months now, but when I did have a job I sometimes put him on on the drive home, and it did make me laugh now and then.
It is indeed skanky low class humour, but after a hard days [censored] the gutter-humour can lift my spirits somewhat.

He's a really talented presenter and he's certainly got the brains for it. I've been listening to him for years now - he used to do the evening slot on my local station when I was younger.
However over the past two years he's stopped putting effort into his afternoon show, and you can tell. The same themes come up time and time again and it's become terribly predictable now. The jokes just aren't funny. He has the brains to do some funny stuff but he's just not bothering any more.
Stick him back on early breakfast where he actually had to be creative to get anywhere within Radio 1 and he'll be back to his best. Right now on afternoons he's just stuck in a rut.

Can't stand the guy!
Most of his conversations seem to end in insults, which are never particularly witty. He doesn't seem any smarter than the people he (constantly) says are stupid. Plus he seems to steal most of his best ideas, especially from Mark Radcliffe.

i'm not a big fan of sara cox either. though i admire the way that somebody with such terrible asthma manages to have a job in broadcasting.
at least i think she has asthma. judging by the way she heavy breathes and wheezes while she is on air i assume that she is constantly on the verge of an attack.
