Have you lot any idea how someone would 'hack' this website ? It's not quite as simple as writing in strange letters. As James says, most hacks are done by using indirection and playing on people's ignorance. It's much easier to guess/get told a password than intercepting a single packet to a webserver in amonst hundreds of others on a different network and extracting the password (Are passwords sent using SSL James ?) . Trust me, I build commercial websites for a living. And how many registered users on football betting websites have their favourite team's name as their password? It's hardly rocket science, is it ?

This relates to an underlying issue that was never dealt with first time round.
