I notice there is a banner in the middle of the text of the home page (www.clubtheworld.com) is there anyway of making sure this banner is only ever clubbing related, just cos I think it makes the site look cheap if right below the "aims of the site" post, you have an advert to "Test your IQ"
You could have it all

[Re: Blink]
i mean i agrtee 100% that it does cheapen the look of the site, but at what cost? teh finantial benifit of the site.
personally ctw has a very un-comertial feel to it. granted it has banners, but banners are so common place on the net that u begin to forget what sites look like with out em
the home page generates no way near the same amount of page impressions as the forums & gallery so its not an issue to remove it from there IMO.
first impressions are important, i think i need to re-do the entire home page template / information as well at some point. still un-decided on what should actually go on there - or if we just re-do the forum header and use that throughout the site like others do...

Would you object to me designing a prototype template/front page for you?
i'm not expecting you to use it regardless, but if you think it might be of use (even if just as inspiration) then it wont be too much bother on my part
i might even be able to draft in a professional designer to do some work on it if ur interested as his not long finished work and is after portholes to demonstrate his skills. (his the guy behind the recent Riot! flyers) - although i cant promice his help, just that he might be interested.
if ur interested in either/all of the above then could i have any specifications i should be aware of (ie logos i MUST use, colours i MUST use, specific layouts i must use etc. need to know just how much creative freedom i'll have)
I am not saying remove the banner completely (I have always supported James doing whatever is needed to pay for the site) I think when the banner is clubbing related, it makes the front page more interesting, by adding movement to it, it is more if the banner is non-clubbing related
