right do you think it'll get to the point where basically everyone who goes out to clubs is on ctw, so then you'll be like "well there's so many people here, i should start a message board for people within the group to meet each other".

and then a new smaller ctw will start and grow, until it eventually gets too big and someone starts something smaller.

and it'll be a bit like the woman who swallowed a fly.

TomD: I like the cut of your jib young man. I deffo think there was a proper little community (as gay as that might sound) around the Notts meetup last November. It is quite interesting to see how the board evolves, kinda like a ickle microcosm.

One more point, if there is a parallel universe, is there another CTW with another TomD and another CreamyC ?

I would think as the site becomes bigger, it will mostly cater to people within regions (like London and then other cities, when the membership is large enough) and then having big meetups whenever there is a big event on.

So I suppose it would be like mini CTW's within the larger CTW.

So CTW has a massive war with all the other message boards and becomes superclubtheworld, which everyone who goes clubbing belongs too. Maybe the next step isn't about smaller inner groups but rather world domination

I do think Tommy has hit on something here though. CTW has to get to a point where it is too big and everyone is a member but nobody knows each other ?

i think the same will apply here as with every other board going- thousands of people may become members, but there will only be a small number of them who will actively go to the events, spend a lot of time talking to each other, and socialise regularly with other people they know from the board. What it comes down to is personality type- u have to be of a certain type to spend your days typing messages to people and then travel for hours to go and visit them.

You 4got start there own club nite ( which they done i think) then have there own nightclub and also club nite's round U.k then Once a month massive events with top dj's then a weekender, then they can have world domination

if we become a super msg board, does that mean we have to shut down?

This is very true. We have had a steady 35-45 people online now for over a year yet our new members ratio is up 65%.

The real community for me has been and will always be the people who actually travel out to places with us and meet us and the others as much as possible. The venue/event is less important/relevant to me anymore - its all about meeting up and having a laugh together.

This 'group' is still very very small - only about 20-30 people I reckon - people who regularly come out and dont just back the big events but also choose to come to mid-week drinks, and other non-clubbing events. This is the direction we are now pushing.

So i dont think the real CTW community is exhausted at all and the initial dream of 100 of us roaming the country together is still not realised. Ireland is a good example - only about 5 of us from the UK going !

We've still got a long way to go before we are the real community we hope to be.
