File them into a square shape being careful not to file down the side of the nail as this weakens it. Try and wear a hardwearing clear gloss to protect them while they are growing. Also try and keep all the nails the same length. If one breaks, file the others down - much neater that way - if you don't have an emery board or nail file, the side of a match box is a good emergency measure! Handcream will help too if you work in an office as shuffling paper drys the nails out!

Claire DC CTW's Smut Queen Joined: Jul 2002 Posts: 21,708 Manchester (Engine World)	Yeah most sugegstions are good.. i generally dont do that much for my nails in the way of strengtheners etc.. i just eat dairy products and drink milk (anythin with calcium really) Keep them all filed to the same length to look nicer, dont bite, if you wear nail polish, make sure u have a bottom coat on otherwise the varnish can stain the nail, make sure u wear a top coat too so that the polish lasts longer and ur nail polish doesnt get chipped off as that damages it.. then also there are these kits u can get (theyre like a 3 step nail care system.. totally natural and make ur nails look lush.. it has white/grey and pink (usually) boards) where u rub it over the surface of ur nail and it removes ridges, gets natural colour back into nail and then a buffer where it shines it.. they look wicked after that. ************************************ You Can Never Have Too Much Of A Good Thing** It'd Be Rude Not 2!!
