[I am talking about '95]
yup he did - tis the world record 4 the fastest tune
that tune moo is on about is utter shit imo. how ne1 can dream of creating a tune that gets u all hyped up then just stops leaving u standing arund doing nuffin is beond me
I find it hard to believe that it really does go up to 1000bpm - that would be more than 16 beats per second. (Try counting in your head.) Now, it may be that there several kick drums to each beat, but that would not count as a higher BPM. (Loads of hard house tunes have "kick rolls".)
However if somebody posts a link to the tune, I will check it out and give you an informed "music student" perspective on the contentious BPM issue!!
The word "novelty value" still springs to mind however...

Quality tune. I seem to remember almost making a mess when it was played at TW. I was talking to someone about it at the weekend who was explaining the sospisious rumour that it hasn't been released yet because they couldn't be arsed to find something to put on the B side. Probably wrong, but I laughed about it for ages.
Anyone fancy a bongle with bungle?

Yeah, and then he probably played the track to a fucked hard house crowd, who lapped it up, so he decided to release the track. He shortlisted a few prospective names for the track ("accelerate", "gesticulate", "defecate" ... "gimmicky toss with a derivative hard house beat") and plumped for the first one. There you go, the story behind yet another shitty hard dance track.
