I've been looking at getting a new mixer for a while now. Have been mixing Trance for about 9 months now. Any suggestions on a user friendly mixer?

Cheers people

ive got the Tascam X-15 and its very gud. Get the X-17 tho if u have the money as it has more features.

If u dont want 19" rack mountable go for the tascam X-9 if u have a spare grand of course.

Just go for the Pioneer DJM600 mate! pretty much industry standard nowadays

The Tascam X-9 is a quality mixer but I have heard of problems with the on-board proccessor!

I turned up to play out last friday expecting a DJM600. when we got in, i came face to face with the Allen and Heath XONE464.

that is one scary mixer (if u've never used one b4).

I've got a DJM600 and am well pleased with it - best mixer i've had, though not the best i've used.
Would love to get my hands on this little beauty !!

got mine from jbsmusic.com - £620 with a free record bag worth £60... They do finance too which I enquired about...(worked out you paid them back £59 a month for 12 months) which adds up to around £700

That gives me an idea - similar to Blockbuster with videos/DVDs - rent studio equipment for the night or weekend from CTW lol - also how about our own shared studio ? In fact, fook it - 4 across the country !

Cant go wrong with a DJM600, or a 500 for that matter web page

web page

or a Vestax PCV275 web page

I also have a Vestax PMC55a which is pretty fucking good too! but not cheap at £1000 web page

However, having received my new Hard To Find Catalogue i discovered 2 new Pioneer Mixers which look pretty good

DJM909 - web page

Pioneer DJM707 - web page

Thing is with scratch mixers tho is they should be used exactly for that purpose, scratchin!

They are just no good for mixin with! Ive got a Vestax PMC-05 Pro and the sound quality out of it is terrible!

tascam may be new to dj equipment but they have some good stuff. I have the X-15 and badly want to upgrade to the X-17.

they've been doing studio equipment for ages i think. they released the cd-302 dual cd deck couple of years ago, well i've had mine for bout that long - a cd deck that pioneer nicked loads of ideas from for their cdj1000 and still a deck with some features no others have. Has aged well in a rapidly advancing technology war. Some of the cd decks coming out soon are completely pointless. Sorry

I have to say the Vestax mixers are so f^cking robust - i hate mixers which have really loose cross-faders/switches/nobs - Vestax is so much more precise. Mod - I fell in love with your mixer.
