not the case Ben, any part of your body can go numb due to piercings/scaring and what if it gets infected (chances are very high as a lot of bacteria breeds there)you either have to have it removed (scaring) or sit out the infection (very painfull and embarrassing & then scaring).
iv only just had the feeling back in my nipple, i had it pierced over 4 years ago

Didn't hurt much getting it actually pierced, but after a week of horseriding (stupid, i know) i was in AGONY! Had to take it out and the pain put me off sex for ages!
